I hope this newsletter finds you well and filled with the spirit of the holiday season! As we enter this joyful time of year, I wanted to share some exciting updates and tips for navigating the holidays, especially for those who are neurodivergent.

Welcoming Casey: A New Addition to the Office

I am thrilled to introduce you to the newest foster therapy dog, Casey! Casey is a sweet and lovable foster dog who has brought immense joy and companionship into the office. Watching Casey adapt and thrive has been a heartwarming experience.

Navigating the Holidays as Neurodivergent Individuals

The holiday season can be overwhelming for many, especially for those who are neurodivergent. Here are a few tips that might help make this time more enjoyable:

  • Establish routines and boundaries to manage stress and sensory overload.

  • Say no to over-commitment.  Stay within your limits.  Saying “no” is okay.

  • Communicate your needs to friends and family. It's okay to take breaks or step away when feeling overwhelmed.

  • Create a safe space for yourself where you can decompress and recharge.
